Cumbersome planning and inventory management with Excel

Wohngesicht has its own warehouse with more than 6,000 pieces of furniture and home accessories that are individually assembled for each project. For a long time, the inventory was managed using Excel files, and the associated images were stored in file directories. As the planning is done visually using the images, the availability of the furnishing items concerned had to be checked manually in Excel or even by looking in the warehouse itself, which required a lot of time. Given the ever-increasing number of projects and furnishing items, Ina Kohls-Krüger was therefore looking for an efficient, long-term solution for planning the projects and managing the materials.

Holistic low-code solution for all core processes

Together with Ninox's IT.CHANGE partner, Wohngesicht developed its own customized solution for the company based on the low-code platform. The data for the various furnishing items were quickly imported from Excel. The respective images were then successively transferred from the file directories into the Ninox database and assigned to the various items. Based on this, a complete inventory management system with all purchasing, rental and utilization data was created. Convenient search functions make it easy to find suitable pieces of furniture and home accessories. The real estate and project data have also now been captured with Ninox so that the entire process from the initial planning to compiling packing lists can be mapped highly efficiently with the Ninox solution.
